An Amazing Pampas Grass Chandelier Installation

Working with Oahu florist Fong Tagawa of Floral Inspirations is always an adventure, but this amazing 32' pampas grass chandelier was seriously fun! Fong and Robyn Iaea designed this piece which incorporated over 500 stems of pampas grass hand wired and lit from within. Robyn was inspired by the bride, Amber Mozo, who grew up on the North Shore of Oahu surrounded by fields of sugarcane. Amber and her groom Colby are also avid surfers, so Robyn and Fong created an undulating pattern with the pampas grass to mimic the ocean waves. Robyn says, "The beautiful color and texture of the pampas reminds me of sugarcane when it's in full bloom, and I loved the idea of creating something meaningful to the couple." The chandelier spanned the length of the head table in the center of the tent. We look forward to seeing the entire wedding story in the next edition of Pacific Weddings! The colors look so pretty with our ivory farm tables and bistro chairs. (Photos by Natalie Norton)

The feathery quality and hue of the pampas grass was magical at night, and reflected the couple's love of the North Shore sugarcane fields and their affinity for surfing.

The pampas grass chandelier spanned 32' above the head table at Amber Mozo's wedding. It was the perfect focal point for this chic wedding set among the beach cottages of Hawaii's North Shore.
